MOORCROFT ñ The Niobrara County High School wrestlers participated in the Dylan Humes Memorial Mixer last weekend and struggled against opponents from many bigger schools.
Senior Kort Bannan wrestled at 215 pounds but was pinned twice, in addition to a pair of bye wins. Competing in the tough 190 pound bracket, sophomore Enrique Maez went 0-2. Classmate Kaydn McCulley lost his first match before receiving a bye. He was eliminated from the 144 pound weight class later in the day.
Lady Tiger freshman Addisyn Bauersachs wrestled at 130 pounds but went 0-2 against a pair of 4A opponents.
This weekend the team heads to the Belle Fourche, S.D. Invitational.
