On May 7, four NCHS (Niobrara County High School) students participated in the University of Wyoming (UW) academic signing day held at the high school. UW Extension Educator, Kellie Chichester worked with Principal Katherine Kruse to arrange the event.
“The academic signing days are a great way for the students to be recognized for their hard work in the classroom! It is even more exciting that these four have decided to attend the University of Wyoming this fall,” said Chichester.
Senior Kort Bannan was also recognized for his commitment to Eastern Wyoming College as a member of the Livestock Show Team. The graduating seniors enrolled in 4-H were also recognized and presented with a graduation sign from the Niobrara County 4-H Council. “We want to wish all of the students the best as they move into the next chapter in their lives. And a special round of applause for the parents, grandparents, supporters and teachers along the way,” said Chichester.
