Members of the Niobrara County High School boys’ basketball team gathered this week to place the 2A basketball state runner-up banner in the Tiger Gym. Senior Aidan Mattheus hangs the banner while head coach Ed Fullmer and teammates look on. The Tigers opened the state tournament with a decisive 56-46 victory against Greybull, advancing to defeat Wright, 78-58, in the semifinals. The championship game came down to the wire, with Wyoming Indian High School prevailing, 48-42.
