Salad luncheon enjoyed by full house

LUSK – High winds on Thursday, April 21, 2022 certainly didn’t keep many from attending the annual salad luncheon provided by the Niobrara Hospital Auxiliary members and their helpers for the community to enjoy where they can support the local medical facilities and also have a good time.
The unofficial count of those who came for the wonderful array of different salads and tasty homemade cookies was about 150 plus. Those unable to leave their place of work had friends and co-workers pick up their salads as “carry-outs.” All fifty of the salads were used and extra cookies leftover were donated to the staff of the hospital to enjoy.
The tables in the dining room of the Niobrara County Fairgrounds building were decorated with spring colors, balloons and doilies at place settings.
Colorful brochures listed a number of funded projects: the most recent,- a soft-serve ice cream machine, in addition to ice maker, TVs (for the Activity room, acute care rooms, and staff development room), furniture for the Activity Room, “Sing Fit” music therapy program and supplies, wheelchair scale, towel warmer and Activity Boards.
