Notice is hereby given that Niobrara County will receive sealed bids at the Niobrara County Courthouse for the “Niobrara County 2020 Spring Road Rehabilitation” project until 10:00 a.m. Local Time on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. The work is described in the plans and specifications and on the bid schedule, and consists of the following major quantities (approximately):
Road Grading 8.1 Miles
Haul and Place Owner-Supplied Aggregate (3”) 13,940 Tons
Because the aggregate hauling distance is so great, the project also includes an alternate for Contractor Supplied Aggregate (Grading “J-R”), along with various other minor items as listed on the bid schedule. Bid forms, specifications, and plans may be obtained either in digital or hard copy format from BenchMark of Torrington, P.C., 119 East 19th Avenue, Torrington, Wyoming, 82240, (307) 532-3811 or by emailing josh@benchmark-torr.com upon payment of $70.00 per set for hard copy or $25.00 per set for digital copy, non-refundable. Bid documents may be inspected at the above listed office from 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. Local Time on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in the County Maintenance Shop at 811 West 3rd St. Lusk, WY. It is recommended, but not mandatory, that all bidders interested in this project attend the pre-bid conference.
Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided in accordance with the contract documents. “...the contract shall be let to the responsible certified resident making the lowest bid if the certified resident’s bid is not more than five percent (5%) higher than that of the lowest responsible nonresident bidder.” (WY Statute 16-6-102) “Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery, and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state.” (WY Statute 16-6-106). The sealed bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope “Niobrara County 2020 Spring Road Rehabilitation Project.” THE BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT 10:00 a.m. Local Time on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
