MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
TOWN OF LUSK
MAY 17, 2019, 12:15 P.M.
The Town Council of the Town of Lusk met in the Council Chambers of Town Hall on May 17, 2019 at 12:15 p.m. The purpose of the meeting was to receive information from University of Wyoming Extension Agent Hannah Swambom on the Lusk Farmers Market.

Present were Mayor Doug Lytle, Council Members Calvin Carstensen and Dean Nelson. Also present were Town Attorney Dennis Meier, Director of Public Works Todd Skrukrud, and Clerk/Treasurer Linda Frye, Heather Goddard Editor The Lusk Herald.
Mayor Lytle called the meeting to order.
COUNCIL MEMBER NELSON MOVED, SECOND BY COUNCIL MEMBER CARSTENSEN, to approve the agenda.
Ms. Swambom informed the Council that a Committee has set up a Farmers Market in Washington Park for June 22nd, July 27th, and August 24th, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. They have already advertised this event. The Town Ordinance No. 12-25-120 requires a Transient Merchant Permit for out of Town vendors and a fee of $100.00 per month. They are requesting for the Town to make it a onetime fee. Ms. Swambom explained what they are requiring from the vendors and forms need to be in by June 15th. It was suggested that the rates be $20.00 daily, $50.00 weekly rate, and $100.00 monthly rate. The vendors will need to apply for a permit and have it displayed.
COUNCIL MEMBER CARSTENSEN MOVED, SECOND BY COUNCIL MEMBER NELSON, to amend Ordinance No. 12-25-120 to state a license fee of one day permit $20.00, a one week permit $50.00, and a one month permit $100.00. MOTION CARRIED.
The next meeting will be the regular Council meeting June 4th, 2019.
COUNCIL MEMBER CARSTENSEN MOVED, SECOND BY COUNCIL MEMBER NELSON, to adjourn the meeting at 12:43 p.m. MOTION CARRIED.
