PUBLIC NOTICE

MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
TOWN OF LUSK
DECEMBER 12, 2018
The Town Council of the Town of Lusk met for a special meeting on Wednesday December 12, 2018 at 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting was to review and accept the bids for the asbestos removal of the properties in the Hazard Mitigation Property Acquisition Grant.

Present at the meeting were Mayor Doug Lytle, Council Members Becky Blackburn, Tom Dooper and Dean Nelson. Also present were Todd Skrukrud Director of Public Works, Linda Frye Clerk/Treasurer, and Dennis Meier Town Attorney. Absent was Council Member Cal Carstensen.
The Town held a bid opening on Monday December 10th, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. There were three (3) bids received. Air Protek Inc. from Denver submitted bids for package 1- $204,000.00 and package 2 - $138,000.00. Asbestos & Technical Services from Cheyenne submitted bids for Asbestos Removal #1 - $105,000.00 and Asbestos Removal #2 - $107,110.00. Safetech, Inc. from Billings, MT submitted bids for proposal #1 - $54,700.00 and proposal #2 - $42,900.00.
Todd visited with the owner of Safetech, Inc. Leonard Cranford about his proposals. The Town will have Attorney Dennis Meier write up a contract with specifications.
COUNCIL MEMBER DOOPER MOVED, SECOND BY COUNCIL MEMBER BLACKBURN, to accept the low bids from Safetech, Inc., approve Mayor Lytle sign the contract, subject to DEQ approval and to have Todd oversee the project. MOTION CARRIED.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
