JAY EM – Leon J. Owen died suddenly at home on Jan. 25, 2019, with Mary, his wife of 30 years, by his side.
He was born June 13, 1954 in Ft. Campbell, Ky., and raised in Pennsylvania.
An avid hunter and outdoorsman, he enjoyed anything firearm, hunting, trapping and participating in black powder rendezvous. He enjoyed reloading, Harley riding, camping, just about every minute the past 30 year’s side by side with his wife, Mary.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
An honorably discharged Army veteran he received the National Defense Medal, Sharp Shooter and hand grenade certificates and was classified expert with the M-16.
An expert carpenter, no job was too big or too small. His work was always exemplary. He leaves behind many more people than he ever realized loved him.
