SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Justine P. Watson, 92, longtime resident of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Fairmont, Minnesota.

Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Monday June 20, at First Baptist Church, 1401 S. Covell Ave., Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Graveside Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Lusk Cemetery. 

Justine Patricia Watson, daughter of Judson and Minerva (Church) Watson was born March 25, 1930 in Lusk. She grew up in Lusk and graduated from high school there. She moved to Sioux Falls where she attended college. She moved to Denver to earn her masters degree and then moved back to Sioux Falls.

Justine worked for the Sioux Falls Public Library for 41 years and retired in 1994. She loved to travel and has been to 87 countries. She enjoyed collecting stamps and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She loved to have fun, laugh and eat sweets of all kinds. She believed in living life to the fullest.

She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She had volunteered with many different organizations in Sioux Falls.

Grateful for having shared her life are her nephew, Ray Anderton Jr.; a niece, Rachel Setzer and her husband, Frank and their family; a niece, Lynette Sherich  and her husband Kevin and their family; numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews and the Striemer family.

Justine was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and his wife, Palmer and Beulah Watson; a sister and husband, Minette and Sam Logan; a niece, Judy Lee and longtime friend, Pauline Striemer.

Memorials may take the form of donations to the First Baptist Church Library, 1401 S. Covell Ave., Sioux Falls, S.D.
