LUSK – The Niobrara County School District Board accepted two resignations during a brief special meeting Wednesday, July 1, including high school principal Phil Garhart.
Board chair Joel Richardson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. After brief housekeeping duties, trustees approved Garhart’s resignation, effective July 13, with at least one member of the board abstaining.
The board also approved the resignation of new English teacher Kristie Smith, who opted out of the position to accept another job.
The terms of Garhart’s resignation agreement were not disclosed.
The board adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
