LEMS students learn about bullying

Chief of Police Dreesen spent a good part of this week talking to kids in grades k-5 about bullying. Chief Dreesen feels that working with the school about ways to STOP bullying is an effective way to open the communication lines regarding bullying. In the past, many people have thought of bullying as just a “normal” part of growing up. However, bullying is a serious and ongoing problem in today’s schools. Chief Dreesen described the different kinds of bullying, what kids can do to help with bullying and what to do if they are getting bullied.
