Groundwater is a very important natural resource and this is exactly the message that the National Groundwater Association (NGWA) and the Wyoming Water Well Association president, John Midkiff, are trying to convey to the public.
With several water wells throughout Niobrara County Midkiff would like to remind the public of the importance of continued water well maintenance each year.
“It’s especially important in the spring to have licensed professionals to check water wells,” Midkiff said. “You never know with the winter weather if someone might have drove over their water well seal or if an animal might have gotten into a well and died.”
