The Tiger Wrestling team had a pretty good ending to the year at the State Wrestling Tournament in Casper Wyoming. The tigers brought eight wrestlers to the tournament and came back with two state placers. Those wrestlers who attended were freshman Stevie Mellott, sophomore Brady Thurston, junior Bryce Sturman, sophomore Carson Wurdeman, sophomore Tucker Stephens, and senior Ian Zerbe. State placers were senior Colby Thurston (195) placed second at State with a record of 3-1 and sophomore Zane Hladky (182) placed fourth with a record of 4-2. The tiger wrestling team had a tough year with small numbers having only eight wrestlers on the team that could wrestle throughout the entire year. Although it was a tough year coach Ron Nelson was pleased with how the boys improved and is excited to further improve their skills in the next season.
Coach Ron Nelson was also particularly happy with such a great group of senior boys that led the team through a tough, but good year that includes; Colby Thurston, Ian Zerbe, Zack Stephens, and Jathan Nelson. The boys would like to thank the parents, coaches, Barb Rapp, and everyone else who made their season an enjoyable one.
