The Tigers won big on senior night over Wright before losing the final regular season game in Moorcroft Saturday. Neither game had any bearing on seeding for the 2A East regional, but was against teams NCHS will likely play in Dayton this weekend.
Wright was missing senior point guard Newt Starr when they arrived at Tiger Gym and were clearly not ready for the Tigers fast start. An 8-0 run to open the game was quickly followed by a pair of Hunter Dockery three pointers and Lusk led 18-5 after one period. Craig Christianson drained a long rang bomb and seven of ten Tigers scored in the first half. Wright did not shoot a single free throw while NCHS committed just five turnovers in the first half and held a comfortable 35-13 lead.
