On Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2012 at approximately 8:30 a.m., County Trapper Dale Greenough was going about his usual business. The trapper was trying to call in a coyote at the ranch of Bruce and Barb Kilmer, which is situated approximately 10-11 miles north of Lusk on Kirtley Road. This particular morning, however, would quickly take a turn away from normalcy. While Greenough was calling for a coyote northwest of Kilmer’s home into the timber, his dog Arlee, a 60-pound female Mountain Cur, caught a scent.
When describing his dog, Greenough said, “She looks like a Yellow Lab with no tail.”
