Lady Tigers prepare for Jambororee and Season

Coach Deb Murray at Saturdays preseason scrimmage. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, Tigers and Lady Tigers will be hosting the Tiger Jamboree.

NCHS girls basketball head coach Deb Murray was prepared to replace her leading scorer and all conference player as Hannah Shoults used up her eligibility but was not prepared to lose all conference player Allison Whiting as well. The 5’10” junior transferred to Nebraska this summer and Murray needs to replace her nine points per game and team leading eight rebounds each outing.

The Lady Tigers made their first trip to the 2A state tournament since 2007 last spring and with eight letter winners back- it’s about who is here and not who isn’t here. The team starts with seniors Sami Starkey, Kiffani Skrukrud and Sara Fahy.
