The Tiger Golf Team traveled to Hulett with a partial team to play in the Devilís Tower Invitational. The team got a chance to play the course where the state tournament will be hosted next fall.

The weather was chilly but the course was in good condition and the team played well.

Denton Shaw saw his first tournament action of the spring and shot a high school career low of 72 to win the boys individual tournament. Jacob Robinson also played and shot 130.

The girls team placed 2nd with a team score of 316 to finish 10 strokes behind 1st place Big Horn. Abbey Larson led the way placing 2nd with a score of 97. Cherokee Hart played well firing a 102 to finish 6th. Sara Fahy continues to improve carding her first birdie in a round of 117.

Friday the golf team played in the Wright Invitational. Both the boys and girls were in very tight tournaments. Denton Shaw led the way for the boys firing a 76 to win 1st in the individual tournament and Parker Pfister shot his low score of the spring so far with an 88 to finish in a three way tie for third. Hika Nishida had a good round firing a 101 and Zack Stephens rounded out the team scoring with a 114. The team finished 3rd with a team total of 379 which was just 6 strokes behind 2nd place Wright. Tongue River won the team title with a score of 354.

The girls team narrowly won the team championship by two strokes over Big Horn finishing with a team score of 313. Big Horn came in at 315 and Wright finished 3rd at 334. Amy Bergstrom led the way for Lusk finishing tied for 2nd in the individual tournament with a round of 100. Abbey Larson finished 5th with a round of 105. Cherokee Hart also medaled finishing 10th with a round of 109. Caysea Hart shot a 133 to round out the girlís scores.

Saturday Lusk hosted a tournament with 10 teams and once again it was a very competitive tournament. The boys team ended up in 7th place with a team score of 410 but there was only a 37 stroke spread between 1st and 7th place. Sundance/Hulett won the tournament with a 373 total, Moorcroft finished 2nd at 397 and Saratoga and Tongue River tied for 3rd with a team score of 398. Zack Stephens led the way for Lusk with his low score so far of the spring firing a 92 to place 9th in the individual tournament. Parker Pfister fired a 93 to finish just out of the medals. Hika Nishida had a round of 109 and Jacob Robinson continues to improve coming in with a score of 116. Wyatt Eaton played in the Junior Varsity Tournament and finished with a round of 152.

The girlís team once again was in a very tight tournament. Lusk ended up tied with Wright with a team score of 315. Wright ended up winning as they won a one hole team play-off by one stroke over the Tigers. Amy Bergstrom led the way with a round of 92 which is her low score of the spring and good enough to earn her the individual championship. Abbey Larson also medaled finishing 7th with a round of 106. Cherokee Hart continued to play steady golf firing a 117. Caysea Hart shot 121 and Kaci Jo Skrukrud shot a 122. Sara Fahy rounded out the Tigers scores with a round of 130.

Both teams travel to Sheridan this weekend to play in the Regional Tournament on Thursday and Friday. If the scores so far this spring are any indication it should be a great tournament. It has been a tough spring weather wise but the team has gotten in some good tournament action the last couple of weeks and hopefully will play well this weekend. It should be a very competitive tournament and whoever gets hot is going to have a really good chance.
