On Saturday, Feb. 2, sixteen members of the Lusk Rawhide Wrestling Club traveled to Gering, Neb., to compete in the GWC Dawg Pound Wrestling Tournament. For some of the members it was their first time competing in an actual tournament. With over 450 kids participating the competition was intense. It was a good day for the youngest members of the club:

Nathan Fish - 6 and under - 41 lbs. - 1st place with 1 pin and 1 tech fall
Ridge Kupke - 6 and under - 42.2 lbs. - 1st place with 2 pins
David West - 6 and under - 47.4 lbs. - 2nd place
Barrett Eichenberger - 6 and under - 49.5 lbs. - 2nd place with 1 pin
Eli Blythe - 8 and under - 52.4 lbs. - 2nd place with 2 pins
Riley Blackburn - 10 and under - 64.3 lbs. - 4th place with 1 pin
William Fish - 12 and under - 65.8 lbs. - 4th place
James Stone - 12 and under - 114.8 lbs. - 4th place
Other team members who traveled to Gering: Dillon Hays with 1 pin, Cameron Carpenter, Madison McCart with a win by tech fall, Walker Kupke with 1 pin, Dalton Larson, Tanner Carpenter with 1 win, Deanna West, James Cushman, and Kade Clark.
The club would like to remind everybody that the annual Valentine’s Day Dinner is coming up soon. Tickets can be purchased from any club member or their parents.
