2A State Golf Tournament at Hulett - Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26
The weather was nearly perfect for the state golf tournament this year and the tournament was very exciting. The teams competed on a very difficult course and we were pleased to see the improvement we showed as a team from the first day to the second day.
The girls team placed third in the team standings with a 756 team total. The girls had a 375 total on Friday and shot 381 on Saturday. They finished behind state champion Moorcroft and Wright.
Girls individual scores for Lusk:
Kaitlyn Pfister finished fifth in the tournament with a score of 118-111 for a 229 total.
Jayde Swenson finished 6th with a score of 117-114 for a 231 total.
Bailey Wagner had a score of 140-156 for a total of 296.
Elysha Stahla from Moorcroft won the girls individual title with a score of 185 and Kaydee Good from Moorcroft finished second with a score of 194.
The boys team had a difficult first day and we finished with a team total of 464 on Friday. The second day the team played quite a bit better as we finished with a 435 total. Our team total for the tournament was 899, which gave the boys a sixth place finish as a team. Kemmerer won the team title and Wright finished second.
Michael Coon shot an 84 the first day and was in fifth place four strokes out of the lead after Friday’s round. On Saturday Michael eagled the first hoe and shot an 82 which was the low individual score of the day and that helped him earn a three-way tie for 1st place with a 166 total. Michael played in a sudden death playoff with Sean Wood and Cody Roberts, both from Kemmerer. Sean Wood ended up winning the playoff on the first hole.

James Ladwig 126-113 for a 239 total
Jace Musfelt 132-135 for a 267 total
Parker Pfister 122-115 for a 237 total
Kevin Poeling 141-125 for a 266 total
