Graveside services for Pauline Faye Prell, 75, will be held at a later time at the Greenwood Cemetery in Newcastle, Wyo.
Pauline Prell passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 with family present at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming after a lengthily battle with cancer.
Pauline was born Aug. 22, 1934 the daughter of John Sheldon and Dorthey Adaline (Watson) Phillips in Upton, Wyoming. She attended school in Upton and Newcastle, Wyoming.
Pauline married Alex Mitich and later married George Prell. Pauline and George lived many years on a ranch north of Lance Creek, Wyo., until George’s death in 1979. Pauline later lived in Lusk, Newcastle, Riverton, and finally Douglas.
Pauline enjoyed reading, crocheting, needle point, ceramics, dancing, and bowling. She was very artistic and won many ribbons at the fairs, leaving many mementos for her family to enjoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Prell; step-son, Jerry Prell; brother, Norman “Red” Phillips; and immediately by her grandson, James Mitich.
Pauline is survived by her son, Andrew (Bev) Mitich of Riverton, Wyo.; daughters, Alexis Mitich (Carl) Smith of Lusk, Wyoming and Joni Prell Moore of Douglas, Wyoming; step-daughter, Janette Prell Scott of West Monroe, Louisiana; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
A memorial to the American Cancer Society in care of Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, WY 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
