Geraldine (Osborn) Williams passed away quietly with family and friends by her side on Oct. 27, 2009 in Lafayette, La.
Jerry was born in Lusk, Wyo. on May 19, 1918 while Mrs. Osborn was staying with Dr. and Mrs. Hassed. Jerry attended her first eight years of school at the one room Hat Creek School House which is still standing at its original location. She finished high school in Lusk and then pursued additional business education in Eugene, Oregon.
She worked as a legal secretary for many years for District Attorney Harry Liembak in Casper, Wyo. before moving to Tyler, Texas and then on to Lafayette, La. with her late husband, Joe Williams. Jerry enjoyed living in the deep south and loved being with her family and church friends. She was part of a very close and tight knit family. She is survived by three sisters Wyoma (James) Seamans of
Houston, Texas, Joy (Donald) Hartung of Casper, Wyo., and Donna Weiss of Arvada CO; five grandsons Brett (Marcia), Phil, Craig (Moon), Chad (Kim) and Brian Laske; thirteen great grandchildren, Amanda, Amy, Matthew, Laura, Lisa, Melissa, Thomas, Skyler, Austin, Rachael, Shawn, Tyler and Ashley; two great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents Mabel and Lue Osborn, sister Billy (Osborn) Lewis, son Lue Laske, husbands George Trembley, Ray Laske, and Joe Williams, brother-in-laws Emmett Belcher, Ed Lewis, and Dr. Robert Weiss, and her special life-long friend Mary Hoblit of Lusk
Memorial and burial services are planned for July 9 in Lusk, Wyo. at the Baptist Church.
