NCHS Speech and Debate team heads to State competition

The NCHS Speech and Debate team is headed into the State Tournament on a high note. The team has attended five varsity tournaments since January 4th and members have trophied or medaled at four of the five tournaments. This is quite an accomplishment for a small team, from one of the smallest schools in the state. These students compete against 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A schools from across four states. To come home with a trophy or medal is something to be proud of. Team members are, Seniors: Taylor Berens, Kassidy Bruegger, and Ian Zerbe, Juniors: Sabrina Canaday and Brenna Dixon, Sophomores: Meghan Proctor and Clayton Potter, Freshman: Akila Hicks, Anna Strohecker and Jasmine Tschacher.
