A time-worn utterance in the annals of needlework exhorts, “Quilt ‘til you wilt.”
And, a forthcoming event will give Lusk quilters the opportunity to do just that. From March 15 to March 16, Lickety Stitch Quilts will hold a 28-hour Quilt-a-thon at the Niobrara Senior Center. The fabrics start flowing at 2 p.m. on Friday and will continue to be stitched together into a panoply of patterns until 6 p.m. on Saturday. Organized by Lickety Stitch owner Karen Wisseman, the event is being held in observance of two significant occasions: Lickety Stitch’s third anniversary and National and International Quilting Day.
