Lusk Council Looks at Housing and Pool Projects

Issues surrounding economic development and growth were raised and tackled by the Town of Lusk council on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Todd P. Bishop, the president and CEO of Kaiser and Company, appeared before the council during a special meeting to share a financial plan for construction of the new community pool. Kaiser and Company, a public finance firm and independent broker dealer, headquartered in Cheyenne, was contracted by the Town of Lusk last year during the election. The election saw the successful passage of the renewal of an existing one percent tax on the sixth penny of every tax dollar collected in Niobrara County. The revenue generated from this tax will subsidize the construction of a new outdoor pool for the county.
