Wyoming Women are Wonderful...

The accomplishments of Wyoming women has been acknowledged for several decades. Niobrara County has connections to three ladies who now have competed and won in statewide and national levels of competition. Currently, the selection of a tall beautiful brunette, Lexie Madden, to the position of Miss Wyoming 2012 pleased many, who are well acquainted with her father, Lex Madden and grandmother Glenna Madden, both with strong ties to Niobrara. Saturday night, December 12, 2013, prior to the Miss America program, the television program, 20-20, included many segments about Miss Wyoming Lexie Madden, as she shared her rural background and life activities with the interviewer. The Miss America Pageant was exciting to watch as she progressed through the different levels from swimsuit to evening gown to talent, and finally to questions from judges. Placing third runner-up to Miss America out of 53 contestants is truly an achievement and one to be proud of.
