On Jan. 19 The NHLC Board meeting was held at 7 p.m. in the Hospital Board Room. Board members present were Chuck Bruch, Chairman Gene Kupke, Virginia Pullen, Mel Zumbrunnen, and Jim Tagney.
After moving through the approvals the Chairman’s Report revealed that the ceiling tiles in the hospital were finished and $155,000 was released to finish improvements to the hospital. Estimates for the new building are in. Roughly $8-10 per square foot per month is going to be the lease on the new building. That comes out to be about $18,000 a year. On the remodel project ongoing at the hospital the cost will be about $50,000 with a five-year lease. The party that will be leasing that building on the hospital grounds will move in Feb. 1 for the remodel. The cost will be taken care of by that party. In that outlying building there are items of equipment worth sale. Computer parts, furniture, printers, etc. and the Board had to give approval for sales of hospital property.
